At River’s Edge, our Enliven Memory Care residents rotate through yoga, mini basketball, ring toss, co****le, and "Music & Motion." Each activity supports a different skill: balance and flexibility in yoga, hand-eye coordination + grip strength with toss games, and rhythm + recall with music-based movement. Everyone gets steady practice and time with friends. We're quite active in Enliven! 💪

Four straight years at the front of the pack! Our resident Nonnie just defended her Tour de Zest crown here at River's Edge, turning up for absolutely everything she could: including sunrise stretches and post-lunch walks. Close behind Nonnie was our Annette! She pedaled through each workout, keeping the fun rivalry alive between them. 🏆

These two proved that saying "YES" to movement every day keeps strength and spirit rolling strong, and we couldn't be more proud!

She’s the first person residents turn to when a clasp breaks or a favorite piece needs repair. Lately, she’s been putting her talents to work on beaded wine stoppers, soon to be featured in our upcoming craft sale.

Tawny brings creativity to every corner of the community. She's always crafting and painting, and diving into the next Zest activity with confidence!

This year, belongs to Donna & Nonnie! They met after move-in, traded names on a morning walk, and have been side-by-side ever since, so much so that neighbors ask whether they’re sisters!! They're seen taking laps around the courtyard, working hard in fitness class, and playing late-night card games. There's nothing they won't do together and turn into a shared adventure!

Donna and Nonnie's story is exactly what River’s Edge is built for: a place where chance encounters become lifelong friendships and community feels just like family! 💛

Thirty-five years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act put freedom of movement on the map for millions. This month (July 26th to be exact!) marked the anniversary, and we’re honoring that milestone by celebrating a small piece of machinery that makes a big difference in our residents’ lives: the wheelchair lift on our community bus.

When our superstar driver lowers that platform, it isn’t just metal meeting pavement. Doctor visits, farmers-market runs, lunch dates with friends… the lift makes sure every neighbor can say “yes” to the life they choose, no matter their wheels or walking pace.

Accessibility isn’t an add-on at River's Edge, because it’s woven into who we are. Here’s to 35 years of progress ADA National Network, and to many more smooth and joyful journeys ahead! ♿🚌
