American River Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine Dr. Jonathan Thygeson and Dr. Marketa Leisure is a proud member of the Sutter Independent Physicians Our office accepts most PPO and Sutter HMO insurances.

Our well-established private practice was originally founded by Dr. Van Schenck in 1981. Dr. Thygeson joined the practice in 2011 and took ownership in 2012 when Dr. Van Schenck retired from his administrative duties. Our goal is to always be available to our patients, and we strive for rapid diagnosis of medical problems and for prompt referrals to medical specialists.
