In my routine this morning, I am reminder that high achievers are very critical of themselves even when they have achieved so much. I want to remind all the high achievers that you're good. You are doing your best at this time, but you know that you will continue to do better. Don't worry "too much" about the things you didn't finish or didn't do well. I know I worry all the time. But I'm giving myself grace at every point.
I just got Grandmaster Herb Perez's book, One Champion's Pathway and even he said he was insecure. Wow! I'm surprised that even he's insecure when he's already one of the best. Like Hal said, "most high achievers are worst at overlooking or minimizing their accomplishments, beating themselves up over every mistake and imperfection and never feeling like anything they do is quite good enough."
The difference is that they are balanced, focused, grateful for their accomplishments, and always at peace with where they are.
I hope you'll find a moment to be grateful for where you are in your life with what you have...knowing that you're do better. May you be lifted up in peace at every turn of your journey in this life.
Be well my friends. God be with you. I love you. Until we meet, Xcel And Inspire.
