This is the kind of story that deserves attention. 🙌

📙A group of high school students on the Placer County Youth Commission just wrote a children's book – Benny and the Forbidden Garden – to teach elementary schoolers about substance abuse, peer pressure, and the importance of asking adults for help.

The book will be distributed free to schools across Placer County at the start of the next school year – with Spanish and Russian translations in the works to reach even more families.

Prevention starts early.
And when young people lead the conversation, it lands differently.
