🌙 CIRH joins communities around the world in celebrating Eid ul-Fitr and Nowruz, two meaningful holidays that mark renewal and gratitude. 🌱

Eid ul-Fitr celebrates the end of Ramadan, a time of reflection, generosity, and community for many Muslim families. Nowruz, the solar New Year, widely celebrated in Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East, welcomes the arrival of spring and symbolizes hope and new beginnings.

These celebrations remind us of the rich cultural traditions that strengthen our communities. At CIRH, we are honored to work alongside immigrant and refugee communities whose traditions and resilience enrich our shared future.

🌟 Wishing everyone celebrating a joyful Eid and Nowruz!

Across cultures and traditions, this season represents renewal, reflection, and collective care, values that connect people and communities.

Ramadan, observed from February 17 to March 19, is a sacred month of reflection and compassion for Muslims around the world, emphasizing mindfulness and care for one another.

Often symbolized by strength and a bright spirit, the Year of the Horse in the Chinese New Year welcomes new beginnings and encourages resilience and optimism.

Ash Wednesday, on February 18, marks the beginning of Lent for many Christian communities, a time of reflection, intention, and spiritual renewal.

At CIRH, we recognize that cultural and faith traditions are deeply connected to health, identity, and community well-being. We honor the diverse ways our communities find meaning and care during this season, and wish all who observe a peaceful and meaningful time.

📢 Opportunity to Share Your Experience – Support for Young Adults with Neurodevelopmental Conditions

The COMPASS Project at the UC Davis MIND Institute is developing a toolkit to improve support for young people with neurodevelopmental conditions as they transition from high school into adulthood.

To help shape this resource, the team is inviting individuals in California with experience planning for this transition, whether as a young adult, family member, or supporter, to participate in focus groups or interviews.

Participants will share insights about navigating healthcare, education, employment, relationships, and daily living. Feedback will directly inform the development of a practical resource navigation toolkit designed to better support young adults with disabilities.
