We’re proud to recognize Myah Kellam (DPT Class of 2026) as the recipient of this year’s Terrapin Physical Therapy Scholarship! 🌟

This award honors the Pazzaglia family (Tony and Heidi Pazzaglia). Tony, a 1997 graduate of the PT program, continues to give back and stay actively involved.

Myah’s winning essay highlighted the role of orthopedic physical therapy in building a healthier, happier society—an inspiring perspective for the future of our profession.

Congratulations, Myah! 👏

Our second-year DPT students made their presence known at Legislative Day at the Capitol today! They explored current legislation impacting the physical therapy profession and had the opportunity to meet with legislative staff.

Shout out to our third-year doctoral student, Ashton M., who attended and presented at the Pro Bono Network Conference at Widener University in Pennsylvania! She shared research on our no-fee-for-service REACH Clinic, highlighting the impactful work being done to serve our community.

We’re incredibly proud of her for representing Sac State DPT and showcasing the meaningful difference our clinic is making!

Sac State Give Day is still happening — and it’s not too late to make a difference!

Please consider supporting the Physical Therapy Foundation Fund. Our program prepares highly qualified physical therapists to meet California’s growing healthcare needs. We are committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience that includes in-house clinic sessions, off-site externships, research opportunities, and presentations at state and national conferences.

Our students are actively engaged in the Sac State community through undergraduate outreach and volunteer efforts that advance and promote our mission and vision.

Give Day offers a special opportunity for your gift to be amplified through potential matching funds — but you can contribute at any time throughout the year.

Your support helps fund essential resources that tuition alone cannot cover, including participation in Legislative Day at the Capitol and conference travel for students presenting their research.

Thank you for investing in our students and the future of physical therapy!

Sac State Give Days are here! We hope you’ll consider contributing to our Physical Therapy Foundation Fund. Your donation helps ensure we can fully support the initiatives and goals of our doctoral program while providing students with a well-rounded educational experience. This includes funding opportunities for students to present research, attend professional conferences, and participate in community events and outreach activities—experiences that tuition funds are not able to support. Thank you for investing in the success of our students and the future of physical therapy.

The Regional, Equitable, Accessible, Community Health (REACH) Community Clinic at CSUS is the Physical Therapy Department’s newest pro-bono initiative dedicated to expanding access to care in the Sacramento region.
Our mission is simple: remove barriers to quality physical therapy and wellness services for uninsured and under-insured members of our community — at no cost to them.
At REACH, student physical therapists work under the close supervision of licensed faculty to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger Sacramento.
How the Community Can Help
REACH Community Clinic depends on the generosity of donors and community partners to sustain and grow our services. Your support helps us:
• Provide free, high-quality physical therapy care
• Expand access to wellness and preventative health services
• Equip future physical therapists with meaningful community-based training
• Reach more underserved individuals and families in need
Your donation directly supports patient care and strengthens the health of our community.
Join us in making equitable, accessible health care a reality for all by participating in Sac State Give Days March 4th and 5th.
