The beginning of reconnecting...

> Dear friends, supporters and followers of Ancient Future and me,

> It's been a while since I have sent you an update. In an effort to reconnect with you, I will begin this communication by recapping a portion of my last message to you.
>
> For those who have been following Ancient Future for quite some time, you know the story of the grand vision board and how Ancient Future came to be as a result of the vision and leading of the Spirit at the particular location in Midtown.
> I knew exactly what and how it was to be created and who it would serve. That was most rewarding, not always easy, but incredibly fulfilling. The work at that location has been completed. Spirit seems to work with me in images for direction into the next phase of creation or co-creation really.

> So for right now, I am in a liminal space. That, too, is designed by the Creator. Liminal space is not being where you used to be and not knowing exactly where or what's next! I am taking the time to be quiet~ to listen to that small quiet voice... for leading and for guidance. I hope that you will be patient through this process.

> From liminal space to liminal space...
> As many of you are aware, the opening of Ancient Future was ordained, in part, to integrate loss and find peace in our lives, to nourish body soul and spirit after the death of my son, Cory, some years past.
> When Ancient Future closed, yet another chapter of my life was to be written on the same topic.
>
> My daughter, LaShelle, was diagnosed with inoperable stage four ovarian cancer. That began a journey that I never thought I would take again. For the past several months I spent night and day with her on her journey.
> LaShelle's death sent shockwaves and aftershocks of extreme magnitude through the depths of my being, plunging me into the depths of deep inner and outer space.
> Decades ago Wernher von Braun stated that the natural laws of the universe are so precise that we do not have any difficulty today building a spaceship, sending a 'wo/man' to the moon and calculating the timing for the landing within the precision of a fraction of a second. And yet the exploration needed within the "inner space" of the human heart seems harder to reach than outer space, with far less precision and predictability.

> This is a truth that was lived out through LaShelle's life into the journey of accepting her death, with all of its twists and turns, every day on the precipice.
> If we could have had a macro view from outer space or even a birds-eye view of our daily journey, looking out over the terrain with its thick, sun-struck hills... looking out to the horizon where there is no risk, the emotional terrain is flat and unyielding. Despite all its multi layers, with valleys, peaks, pinnacles, curves and detours, life seems to have none of its magnificent geography, only a distance.
> As we look back from whence we've come, we find the past is already in debt to what may be a mismanaged present. In addition, contrary to what you may have heard or learned or have grown to believe, the Past is Not Done... it is not over! It is still in process! If we go a little deeper and re-examine, we will find that when it’s investigated, critiqued and analyzed, it is full of revelation and new information about itself.
> In that re-examination of the past, it is already changing. It is being revealed as it is being listened to for deeper tones, both dissonance & resonances.

> Actually, I think it can have the potential to be even more liberating than any imagined future IF we are willing to identify its invasions and evasions, its distortions, and its lies, and IF we are willing to unleash & release its truths and its secrets.
>
> It all began in mystery, and it will end in mystery but what a savage and beautiful landscape lies within... between life and death... the unfolding.
> I know many of you have come to me and said that you too are also in a liminal space... a space of discovering or rediscovering what's up next, so I know you will understand that this is a process.
>
> I hope you too will honor the longing and calling within your heart and have the courage to take the time that it takes.
> Allow the unfolding... to birth or rebirth 'Your Purpose' on this planet and beyond, as I am doing in a way that I have never been called to before.
>
> The outpouring of love from friends has been humbling... so many kindnesses. I'm grateful for your understanding that I will possibly be unable to respond to every communication, knowing that I am ever grateful for your love and concern.
