Step back in time with us!

Our activity department’s theme for the year is Adventures Through Time, and this January, we’re kicking it off with a roaring good time in the 1920s!

Every Friday, we’re transforming our Adult Day Club into a Speakeasy for a themed happy hour featuring music, toe-tapping dancing, and some classy giggle water (alcohol-free cosmopolitans, of course!). It’s the bee’s knees!

This month, we’ve also been getting a wiggle on with activities like exploring 20s fashion, architecture, jamming to popular jazz tunes, and diving into the pop culture of the era. We’ve been putting on the Ritz learning about silent movie stars like Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, and Harold Lloyd—all true cat’s pajamas of their time! Everyone loved watching Stan and Ollie washing dishes- even without sound they were funny!

Come join the fun and take a trip back to a decade full of ritzy vibes and ritzy times!

Yesterday, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our executive director, Irene, as she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her career.

To celebrate her time with us and all the memories we’ve shared, we held three team meetings filled with gratitude, shared stories, snacks, cards, and warm wishes. Irene, you have left an indelible mark on our community, and we will miss your leadership, experience and dedication.

As Dr. Seuss says in Oh, The Places You’ll Go:
“You’re off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!”

Wishing you all the best, Irene!

Today , we had an amazing ceramics session with the talented Elke, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her with us! 🎉✨

At Revere Court, we wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of creativity. 🎨 Art allows individuals to express themselves on a deeper, more personal level, and we’ve seen firsthand how impactful it can be for our residents, especially those living with dementia. 🌈

Art therapy is more than just an activity—it’s a healing experience. By engaging multiple areas of the brain, it helps create new pathways for communication and self-expression, offering our residents a unique way to reconnect with the world around them. 🧠✨

Through hands-on projects like ceramics, our residents discover a sense of identity, accomplishment, and self-worth. It’s incredible to see their joy as they bring their creations to life in a safe, supportive, and creative environment. 💖

Stay tuned—we can’t wait to share the beautiful artwork from this session!

✨ Winter Wonderland Holiday Party Recap! ✨

This past Thursday, we celebrated our annual Winter Wonderland Holiday Party, and it was nothing short of magical! We had over 75 guests!

🌟 The evening began with a warm reception in our conference room, where families and team members mingled in a relaxed, non-clinical setting. Chef Thomas outdid himself, providing an impressive spread of delicious food and snacks—including his famous brie and cranberry bites that everyone couldn’t stop talking about!

🍽️ Next, we moved to the cottages for a festive Christmas dinner. The menu was a hit, featuring prime rib, fresh salads, roasted vegetables, and a decadent pineapple upside-down cake for dessert.

🎶 To end the evening on a high note, we gathered in the Day Club for caroling with residents and families, spreading holiday cheer through music and joy.

It was truly a heartwarming night filled with connection, great food, and the spirit of the season. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event so special.

Here’s to more moments like these at Revere Court! ❤️

🌟 Drumming Circle Fun in Cottage 3! 🥁✨

Today, Cottage 3 was alive with rhythm and joy as we had Drumming with Paul! Our group had a fantastic time keeping the beat to songs like “Moon River Cha Cha”, “Oh, What a Night” by The Four Seasons, and other fun classics.

Drumming is not just fun; it’s incredibly beneficial for seniors, especially those with dementia. It helps:
✔️ Reduce stress and anxiety
✔️ Boost mood and engagement
✔️ Improve coordination and motor skills
✔️ Enhance focus and a sense of connection

We took moments to rest and practice deep breathing to relax and recharge. A highlight of his day? Paul singing “I’m Henry the VIII, I Am” to Dianne—what a funny moment!

🎶 Drumming sessions will now be held weekly! If you’d like to join in or learn more, reach out to Life Enrichment. Let’s make music and memories together!

🎶 Join us live as Skip Morgan performs in Cottage 4!

We bring live music to our community several times a week because it’s more than just entertainment—it’s therapy for the soul. Music can spark memories, lift spirits, and reduce stress, offering comfort and joy even as Alzheimer’s progresses.

Familiar songs create meaningful moments and connections, promoting well-being for all. Don’t miss this special performance!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a very special visitor—our beloved former caregiver, Shyam, along with her adorable grandson, Roman!

As you may remember, Shyam retired in March after an incredible 22 years of dedicated service to our residents. She left to embrace retirement and her new role as a full-time grandmother.

It was such a joy to reconnect and see her thriving in this next chapter of her life. Thank you, Shyam, for stopping by and brightening our day!

🍂 A Heartwarming Thanksgiving at Revere Court 🍂

Yesterday, we gathered to enjoy a special Thanksgiving lunch, and Chef Thomas and his talented team outdid themselves with a delicious traditional feast! From the golden turkey to the comforting sides, every bite reminded us of the joy of the season. A lot of reminiscing

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on life’s many blessings, and one of the greatest gifts is being together.

As Marcie from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving said, “Thanksgiving is more than eating, Chuck. We should just be thankful for being together.”

As we savor the spirit of togetherness, we’re already looking forward to the next celebration!

Celebrating Community Spirit at Revere Court! 🎄❤️

We are thrilled to share that our Memory Care and Adult Day Club residents recently participated in a meaningful community service project in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Pocket/Greenhaven and Sacramento Blue Star Moms . Together, we signed Christmas cards for our brave U.S. soldiers stationed overseas.

Residents received a card to sign, and many included heartfelt messages of gratitude and support. This activity allowed our residents to feel connected to the community and to give back to those who are away from their families during the holidays.

A special thank you to the Sacramento Blue Star Moms, a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military and veteran families. Their efforts to raise funds for care packages sent to our service members are truly commendable!

We also want to acknowledge, the Pocket/ Greenhaven Rotary, who have a longstanding partnership with Revere Court. They meet with us at least once a month, and we are grateful for their ongoing support in enhancing our community.

We look forward to more collaborative projects with these wonderful organizations! If you’re interested in getting involved or would like to participate in future initiatives, please reach out to Paul or Corey.

Thank you for helping us make a difference! 🌟

🌟 Today, we hit the road for a fun-filled scenic drive with our Revere Court residents! 🎶 We hooked up some classic tunes and headed down Hwy 160 to the charming town of Hood.

Our playlist featured timeless hits from The Beach Boys, The Monkees, and John Denver—perfect for singing along and sparking joyful memories! 🎵✨

At Revere Court Memory Care, we believe that the beauty of nature can uplift spirits and create meaningful moments. Scenic drives offer a wonderful opportunity for seniors and individuals with dementia to experience the calming effects of the great outdoors.

Scenic drives aren’t just about the views—they provide incredible benefits, including reducing anxiety, boosting mood, and sparking cherished memories. Sharing these experiences strengthens connections and brings so much joy to everyone involved.

Every mile traveled is a moment to treasure. ❤️ Where should we go next? 🚗💭
