🎄 Hosting for the Holidays? Here’s how to balance the joy with the care. ❤️

There is nothing quite like a full house during the holidays. But when you are caring for a loved one in home health or hospice, a large gathering can bring a mix of excitement and worry. How do you keep them safe and comfortable without dampening the festive spirit?

We’ve put together a guide on "best practices" for hosting when your loved one has medical needs. Here are 3 quick tips to get you started:

📱 The "Pre-Visit" Briefing: Send a text to guests before they arrive. Let them know your loved one’s current condition and set ground rules (e.g., "Please stay home if you have even a sniffle!").

🤫 Create a "Safe Harbor": Designate a quiet, off-limits room where your loved one can retreat for a nap or medication without the noise of the party.

🧼 Hygiene Stations: Make hand sanitizer as accessible as the holiday cookies. Place bottles by the door and near your loved one’s chair to keep germs at bay.
