It’s not about trying harder - it’s about understanding your brain.
When the chemistry is off, even the basics feel impossible. Let’s fix the root, not just the routine.

Here's a peek at the roadmap:

1. Unfollow Bad People: Your feed should inspire, not demotivate. Hit that unfollow button and protect your energy.

2. Selectively Social: Quality over quantity. Invest in the few relationships that truly lift you up.

3. Live in the Moment: Stop time-traveling with your thoughts (future anxiety or past regret). Be here.

4. Eat Healthy: Food is fuel for your brain. The better you eat, the clearer you think.

5. Meditate Alone: Just 10 minutes can radically reset your entire mood.

6. Take a Trip: A change of environment is a shock to the system - in the best way.

Derealization is a dissociative experience where the world feels unreal, dreamlike, or distant, even though you know it’s real. It’s often linked to anxiety, stress, trauma, or depression, and can feel like living behind a foggy glass. While unsettling, derealization is treatable with therapy, grounding techniques, and professional support to help you feel connected and present again.

At Sacramento Psych Care, we understand how heavy this can feel. Derealization is often connected to conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, or overwhelming stress — and while it may feel confusing, it is treatable. Our approach combines comprehensive evaluation, personalized medication management, and evidence-based therapy to help you find clarity and stability. We also teach grounding strategies and coping tools so you can manage symptoms in real time and begin to feel present in your everyday life again.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. With over 22 years of psychiatric expertise our team provide compassionate, confidential care designed to restore your sense of balance and connection.

Take the first step toward feeling grounded — schedule your consultation with Sacramento Psych Care today and let us help you reconnect with yourself and the world around you.

Arguments are difficult for everyone, but for those living with OCD, the conflict doesn’t end when the conversation does. Instead, your brain might go into overdrive - replaying every word, doubting your actions, catastrophizing what the other person thinks of you, and desperately seeking reassurance. This mental spiral isn't "overreacting" - it's your OCD trying to make sense of uncertainty and discomfort. It’s exhausting, and it’s real. You might find yourself:
* Obsessively replaying the argument in your head
* Second-guessing everything you said or did
* Feeling stuck in a loop of guilt, fear, or shame
* Asking for reassurance over and over
* Believing that one argument ruined the relationship If this feels familiar, you are not alone.
These are common and treatable symptoms of OCD.
