We had such a great turnout to our annual Día del Niño event! A little rain couldn't stop us from coming together and celebrating.

Thank you to all the incredible partners, volunteers, and staff who made this event such a success- we truly couldn't do it without you!

From fun activities and community resources to delicious fruit cups, churros, and exciting raffles, it was an afternoon full of joy, connection and celebration! 💛

Big News for Our Community!💚

We are proud to share that we've officially secured ownership of the Maple Neighborhood Center!

A Permanent Home. Endless Opportunity. Stronger Community.

This milestone brings long-term stability, expands opportunities, and reinforces our commitment to the families we serve. It also reflects our strong partnership with Sacramento City Unified School District, ensuring this space remains rooted in community for generations to come.

For over 50 years, La Familia Counseling Center has served Sacramento families. For nearly 11 years, we've leased the Maple Neighborhood Center from SCUSD, transforming a closed school into a vibrant hub for youth and community services. Now, with ownership, we can deepen our roots and expand our impact even further.

We're also excited to announce a $1.7 million investment to transform our soccer field into a vibrant mini park- a safe, welcoming space for children and families to gather, play, and connect.

Thank you to everyone who shared their kind words and support- rain couldn't stop us, and we were proud to celebrate together.

Together, we're building a stronger future. Juntos Podemos!

Having an opportunity to receive hands-on support with applying for or renewing their passports-all in one place, has been incredibly helpful to so many community members. From step-by-step guidance to on-site photos, the process has been made simple, accessible, and stress free.

At this time, all available appointment slots have been filled.

A special thank you to Congresswoman Doris Matsui for hosting this event at La Familia- we’re grateful for the partnership in bringing this opportunity to our community.

Our team is currently working to confirm all scheduled appointments. Any new responses will be added to a waitlist and contacted in the event of cancellations.
