Last Friday, we had an incredible time at the Healthy Aging Fair hosted at the Cardiovascular Wellness Center 🫀. The event highlighted a healthier approach to aging, with students showcasing stations on Nutrition, Hearing Loss, Cardiovascular Health and Anxiety, Exercise, Cognitive Impairment, and more!

It was amazing to see returning attendees of the CWC connecting with new community members who joined to learn about the Fair and the CWC program. Together, they celebrated the importance of community in working toward a healthier aging process.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made the day truly unforgettable. Let’s continue this journey together—because Healthy Aging is for EVERYONE! 🐝🐿️

GERO 21: First Year Seminar is here to set you up for success, both in college and beyond! This fully in-person course dives into essential skills like time management, critical thinking, and community engagement, all through the lens of Gerontology—the study of aging and its impact on society.

Led by Dr. Abah, GERO 21 offers unique opportunities to:

Are you looking for a class to fulfill your Area B5 General Education (GE) requirement at ?! We got you!
GERO123 will be taught by Dr. Koss this upcoming Spring. The class is fully online and asynchronous, allowing some flexibility for our busy hornets 🐝. The class also focuses on incorporating AI, specifically ChatGPT, into education and research.

Dr. Koss shared, “Students in GERO 123 learn about what they can do now to increase their chances of aging with good mental and physical health. With help from ChatGPT, students design and carry out their own research project about healthy aging.”
