We’ve got BIG news to celebrate! 🎉
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Alyssa Shelby — who is now officially a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists (DACT)! 🥳🐾

This is no small accomplishment — and we are so incredibly proud! Dr. Shelby began her journey in the summer of 2020 through the alternate route, and over the past five years, she’s checked off every requirement on the (very long!) list:
✅ First-author publication
✅ Shadowing board-certified theriogenologists
✅ And passing an incredibly tough board exam that covers all domestic species — not just our usual dogs and cats!

Becoming a DACT is a huge milestone, and it reflects Dr. Shelby’s dedication, compassion, and love for reproductive medicine. 💛 We’re lucky to have her on our team, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead.

These tiny paws have made big impressions 🐾✨ Whether born at Kokopelli or just visiting for their first check-up, we’re always thrilled to be part of their start in life.

💛Today’s litter was a whopping 15 healthy, beautiful golden retrievers!! We are so thankful to be apart of their first few moments of life. Momma is happy to have those puppies out! She’s got so many babies and not enough milk. So our techs stepped in and tube fed all 15! As you can see, they’re having their after meal nap. So excited to watch them grow🐾 They are currently our largest litter to be born in our new building!

Welcoming all the wiggles, wags, and wellness visits—puppies (and their people) are always in good hands here. 💉🐶

We are excited to be attending the Salty Dog Cluster at the Yolo County Fairgrounds this week from Thursday to Sunday. We will be freezing semen and greeting all our Kokopelli graduates. Please stop by and get your dog a treat and say hi to Dr. Christensen and the crew.
If you want to schedule one of your studs for semen freezing, give the clinic a call and get on the schedule.
