💚💛 For 30 years, the Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution (CAPCR) at Sac State has worked to provide conflict resolution and reconciliation services for agencies, governments, institutions, businesses, civil society and community organizations and other groups through training, education, research, and intervention.

This week, the Center will welcome guest speakers Dr. Kristee Haggins and Cheyennis Doom for an interactive conversation honoring Black history, and a collective vision of peace and justice. Please join us in celebrating their Legacy.

🩸🩸Why donate blood? There are many reasons, including the free snacks and Spirit Friday tee shirt! Donating is a great way to be of service to your community, learn more about your own health, and most importantly, save lives! Don’t miss our first blood drive of the semester, Feb 24 to 26. We are looking for donors, and volunteers (links for both can be found in our LinkTree.

🩸While walk in donations are welcome, we recommend scheduling an appointment.

🚨🚨🚨 The application deadline for 2026-2027 scholarships is March 2nd! The process is so simple – just submit a general application, and get automatically matched with scholarship opportunities. You can also search for additional opportunities and provide a little extra information to apply for those scholarships!

Need help? The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office will be hosting workshops throughout this month. Links to their Event Calendar, and the general application site are in our LinkTree. Don’t leave your money on the table!

💚💛📖📝 Students – Did you know you can get tutoring and feedback on your writing assignments without setting foot inside a tutoring center? Sac State’s University Reading & Writing Center offers asynchronous tutoring, so you can avoid appointments, drop-in hours, and live meetings!

Just follow the link on our LinkTree to join the course in Canvas, complete an intake form, and submit your writing to receive feedback within 48 hours. Submit assignments with confidence, every time!
