Just like we need to check in with our loved ones, we need to check in with ourselves. Everything we perceive is filtered through our own experience, sometimes we need to remove the "colored glasses" to see things as they are.

I'm so grateful for the new community space and tea lounge in midtown Sacramento .wellness.house !

I attended the monthly grief circle (first Sundays) and had a big, communal release during the full moon.

I need to stop bringing instruments cuz I'd rather people be dancing than worried about playing on rhythm.
Anywho, singing is great for team building as well as stress relief and cardiovascular health.

1. There are many different types of therapy both traditional and alternative. Try as many as you can. Keep what works, leave the rest. Don't abandon your path because you think someone else's is prettier and shinier.
☮️
2. We all have unique backgrounds, physical constitutions, symptoms, personalities and goals. We can't achieve what we want if we're comparing ourselves to others or thinking that the "norm" of accepted goals should be our goals.
☮️
3. Movement meditations like singing, drumming, walking, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, or any activity with a focus on breath and mindful presence are incredibly effective meditation practices - [for some people] even more effective than stillness meditation. Trauma must be moved out of the body.
☮️
4. Every ancient culture has had a relationship with music, voice, dance, and communing with nature. In the West African tradition, the term Sankofa reminds us to go back for what we have forgotten.
