Martina says, "I ride my bike to work daily and I enjoy riding around exploring our beautiful city of trees. I ride to reduce my carbon footprint, improve my overall fitness and raise awareness about bike safety and promote bike culture. Happy Earth Day! 🌳 Celebrate Earth Day everyday by choosing a GREEN mode of transportation. Every time you walk, bike, take public transit, or carpool instead of drive alone, helps our planet. We thank you for being a part of our community!

Happy ! Here are a few ways we're working to improve our carbon footprint and reduce our environmental impact:

1. Our health campus is home to 145 kilowatts of solar power on one of our parking structures. We plan to add 640 kilowatts to our new Folsom Medical Office, which includes 558 kilowatts hours of battery storage.

2. Signs are placed throughout our campus, reminding everyone of our smoke-free policy. Clean air means a healthy environment for everyone.

3. Our medical center is home to five secured bike shelters, with three more locations available this year!

Sacramento Regional Transit District is making adjustments to three SmaRT Ride zones on Monday, August 28, 2023. The on-demand microtransit shuttle service changes will impact the Citrus Heights-Antelope-Orangevale, Downtown-Midtown-East Sacramento and Gerber-Florin zones.
