Chanté Tonia earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Seton Hall University in 2003 and her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2013. Dr. Chanté is a natural health specialist that truly believes in the body’s healing capability. She is trained in botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, clinical nutrition, and physical medicine. Dr. Chanté aims to identify and remove factors that cause disease with the use of natural therapies. Although Dr. Chanté is trained to address many conditions, her special interests include women’s health and hormone balance, digestive health, and supporting nutrient deficiencies in the body. Dr. Chanté enjoys spending time with God, her loving husband and family, cooking nutritious meals, singing, reading and helping her clients achieve optimal wellness to live a life full of purpose. Faith and a strong relationship with God are the foundation upon which Dr. Chanté lives her life and she believes that sickness and disease is never God’s will. When obstacles to cure (stress, worry, poor diet, physical inactivity, etc.) are removed optimal health is achieved and Dr. Chanté is excited to be a part of your health journey!

Today looks very different than birthdays in years past… but my heart is full of gratitude.

This season of my life is one of caregiving, responsibility, and quiet moments that many people don’t see. And yet, through it all, I am so grateful to God for His covering, His strength, and His grace.

I thank Him not only for the blessings in my life, but for trusting me with the assignment of caring for my father during this vulnerable season. It is not always easy, but it is an honor.

I’m grateful that God continues to equip me with everything I need to walk this journey — as a daughter, a wife, and as Dr. Chanté.

This birthday may look different, but it is filled with purpose, love, and gratitude. And for that, I give God all the glory.

I’m walking in grace, strength, and purpose. 💛🙏🏾

The most overlooked mineral in women’s health isn’t iron. It’s magnesium.

So many women come to me feeling tired, anxious, constipated, bloated, struggling with sleep, or dealing with hormone imbalances—and magnesium is often part of the missing piece.

The holidays are meant to be enjoyed, not feared.
Intermittent fasting isn’t about restriction or punishment—it’s about creating balance, especially during a season filled with richer foods, later meals, and more indulgence.

✨ Benefits of gentle fasting during the holidays:
• Supports digestion and gut rest
• Helps regulate blood sugar
• Reduces inflammation
• Improves energy and mental clarity

You don’t need perfection—just consistency and awareness.

Try this:
🕒 Aim for a 12–14 hour overnight fast
🍽️ Eat your meals earlier in the day when possible
🥗 Break your fast with protein, healthy fats, and fiber
🚫 Skip constant snacking just because food is available

And remember—one meal does not undo your health.
What you do most days matters far more than what you do on a holiday.

I’ve been off social media for a while because life required my full attention. My dad had a stroke in October, and caregiving became the priority—on top of being a wife, a doctor, and a woman trying to breathe through it all.

I didn’t have the energy or motivation to post… but I’m still standing.
Still showing up.
Still honoring the assignments God has placed on my life.

If you’re in a season that feels heavy, remember:
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to hold space for yourself.
And when you’re ready, you can rise again—stronger, wiser, and more grounded.

Naturopathic Medical Doctors (NMDs) follow a rigorous education path similar to MDs and DOs (osteopathic doctors). They begin with a science-based bachelor’s degree and pre-med coursework. Then they attend a 4-year accredited naturopathic medical school, completing over 4,100 hours of training.

Along with a standard medical curriculum, NMDs receive specialized training in clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, physical medicine, and counseling. Hands-on clinical experience prepares them to diagnose and treat patients as primary care providers.

After graduation, NMDs must pass the NPLEX licensing exams. Currently, 26 jurisdictions (23 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) offer licensure or certification for NMDs.

Residency opportunities are expanding, with many NMDs completing one to two-year primary care or specialty programs. NMDs have a pivotal role in advancing integrative health care, working alongside all types of practitioners.
