Yesterday we had the honor to present at Mary Salka’s Celebration of Life.
Mary was known to many in the nursing community. Mary’s service was arranged by her family, with tributes from family & friends.
The Nurse Honor Guard of Tampa Bay was proud to be a part of this amazing nurse’s celebration.

Our Honor Guard had the privilege to participate in Jersey College’s School of Nursing graduation & pinning ceremony yesterday. It was a true honor to watch as the next generation of nurses begin their journey into our profession.

Thank you Jersey College & best wishes to the 21 graduates.

We also welcomed a returning guard, Barbara B, as seen here being caped by her good friend Nini C.

Thank you Wilma, Judy, Jan, Nini, Barb, Robin & Jean, (who graciously lead the new nurses in the Nightingale Pledge), for attending last night.

Today we honored Irma Diaz in Dunedin for her 35 years as a nurse. Guard members present were Jean R, Sue B, Jackie S, Tricia S, Jearey R, Mary Sue B , Debra C, and Laure D. Thank you so much ladies for being there for Irma today.
Today was Jearey's first service. Welcome Jearey!

Today we had the honor to present the Nightingale Tribute for Annie L Miller in Clearwater. She had a remarkable nursing career starting with being the first African American RN to work at Morton Plant Hospital. She worked there for 45 years. After her retirement, a scholarship fund was established for LPNs, in her name.
Today’s Nurse Honor Guards were (R-L); Judy E, Laure D, Ann C, Nini C, Tricia S, Jackie S, Wilma M, Foxy J, & Courtney S.
Today, we also welcomed 2 new, first time members, Ann C & Foxy J. Thank you everyone for honoring Annie Miller and welcome Ann and Foxy!

Today we honored a nurse of almost 50 years, Angela Dillow, RN, at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor. Guards in attendance were (L-R) Laure, Jackie, Debra, and Judit. Thank you ladies for representing us and honoring Angela!

Today we had the honor to attend a fellow colleague’s retirement celebration, Marclaire McEachern. We were honored to present her the white rose as our appreciation for her years of service. Thank you Wilma and Nina for representing the guard. We wish Marclaire a long & happy retirement.
