Congratulations to Nikki, a business office coordinator in our sleep disorders center who recently was selected as a WOW! Team Member of the Month. The honor recognizes team members who go above and beyond job descriptions and expectations while supporting other team members and taking care of our patients and customers. Her nomination read, in part: “Nikki came into the department with little or no knowledge about sleep disorders, but she quickly learns with very minimal training. Once she starts a task, I know that she is going to do it correctly. She is reliable, self-sufficient, inquisitive, respectful and takes on tasks without being asked. Fellow team members rave about Nikki’s work ethic … and patients often speak about her kindness and willingness to help them.’’ Thank you, Nikki, for all you do!

We are so excited to have our teen volunteers on campus this summer! Their welcoming smiles and abundance of energy make the hospital a little brighter. The teens, age 14-17, spend at least four hours a week doing various jobs across our campus. Thanks to all of them for giving their time to us and our patients this summer.

We are excited to announce that BayCare and Northwestern Medicine and its Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine are entering a strategic collaboration that will expand access to advanced medical treatments, enhance clinical research and improve training and education for current and future physicians in West Central Florida.
