Richard V. Albery, MD [Dr. A.] has become a 'working retiree' by Patient demand. Retired officially in 2004 from his private practice in Phoenix, Arizona after 24+ years. Dr. A. sought out to help the smaller communities in Arizona on a part-time basis, which quickly turned into high demand while actively practicing in the southeast portion of Arizona. This small area is overwhelmed by diabetes, to include the Apache Nation near by.
Fortunately, Dr. A. became proficient at treating Diabetes as a whole, while in private practice. To date Dr. A. is a Tenens Locum working several times a month on demand! Former patients. The excellent Diabetic Care by Dr. A. continues to summon him. The ALBERY DIABETIC CLINIC devotes a 45 minute encounter with each new diabetic patient. As each patient becomes familiar and comfortable with their daily self-monitoring. Only then the office visits necessitate 30 minutes as the patient becomes successful at adjusting their insulin throughout the day. Once the patient achieves their personal glucose levels to ultimately secure an A1c at their target goal the patient[s] came to visit for 15 minutes to brag ! We look forward to making your acquaintance and welcoming back every patient with the desire to, "LIVING A SUCCESSFUL LIFE WITH DIABETES". The main goal of Dr. A. is to teach the Diabetic how to Live a ‘Successful Life with Diabetes’. Just as important, to teach families prone to the disease to avoid or delay the onset of Diabetes in their children. Each Diabetic Patient is personally shown to record glucose readings, monitor glucose daily, administer their insulin applying what is called a ‘sliding scale’ until their glucose arrives at a personalized goal of each patient, then remain on that precise level of insulin units with minor adjustments when necessary to arrive at their goal. Labs are scheduled according to the standard of the American Diabetes Association to arrive at the best goal the diabetic can realistically reach and maintain for life.
With-up most care,
Dr. A.
