Please join us in welcoming Anida Pierson, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to Canyonlands Healthcare - Safford! She is looking forward to serving the community's medical needs and is now accepting patients of all ages.

A longtime resident of the Gila Valley, Anida has over 15 years of experience as a registered nurse in both emergency medicine and nephrology. She obtained her nursing degree at Eastern Arizona College, a BSN from Grand Canyon University, and her MSN from United States University. She started her medical career as an EMT over 25 years ago!

In addition to serving the community as a Nurse Practitioner, Anida enjoys the outdoors, reading and grandparenting.

The AAHIVS (American Academy of HIV Medicine Specialist) certification reflects a high level of expertise in HIV care, including the latest treatments, research, and best practices in the field.

Kiser has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving patient outcomes and providing compassionate care. His new AAHIVS credential further strengthens Canyonlands Healthcare’s ability to offer comprehensive HIV treatment and prevention services in geographic locations that were previously hours from any medical provider with the same skill set.

Fridays have been added to Dr. Frank Davis' pediatric patient schedule at the Safford Clinic! You may now make an appointment with your child on Tuesday-Friday, 7am-6pm. Call the Safford Clinic at (928)428-1500 to request an appointment.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine dealing with the health and medical care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18.

Introducing Jeff Kiser, Family Nurse Practitioner at our Safford Clinic! Be sure to tune into KATO radio on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 8:30-9:00 to hear Jeff speak on VOICE OF THE VALLEY, hosted by David Bell.

Jeffrey Kiser is an Arizona-born-and-raised provider who graduated as Valedictorian of Round Valley High School in 2007, then attended University of Arizona where he completed a BSHS in Physiology and BA in Religious Studies summa cm laude in 2011. After this, he spent time as a first grade teacher in China and as a Pharmacy Technician in Tempe before ultimately earning an MSN from Yale University School of Nursing to be a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Jeff's clinical focus has been working in rural, underserved communities in Federally Qualified Health Centers, first as an RN for medically observed withdrawal treating patients with substance use disorder, then as a primary care FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) in Bullhead City, AZ, for two years, and now as a primary care FNP at Canyonlands Healthcare in Safford since April 2023!

Jeff is part of our new HIV program and will be taking an exam in December 2024 to become the only AAHIVS-credentialed provider in a 75-mile radius.

In addition to his extensive nursing background, Jeff has much to share about his life so far, including his travel experiences and the joys of rural living.
