Another architectural update to the hive. The term “build up” works well for this 🐝 home. The Warré hive design adds new supers (aka honey boxes) to the bottom of the hive to mimic what honey bees do naturally in nature. This super addition was a heavy lift for my hive partner and hubby. Next super install we will need a lift system to help. Each super weighs approximately 40lbs... next lift will be approx 100lbs. Precarious weight to lift by hand with fear of topple as hive gets taller!

Hi there 🍯 🐝 We didn’t quite make it the whole year with our honey harvest from autumn… We were conservative in how much we took as because we were worried about the bees having enough for themselves. So REALLY looking forward to our harvest this autumn and replenishing our stock. Thank you bees for pollinating, thank you bees for buzzing. Thank you bees for making me honey.
