Alexandra Amber Gibelyou

Gibelyou, Alexandra Amber “Alex,” “Alley Cat”

Presented to the World: August 23, 2022

Entered her Heavenly Kingdom: April 16, 2026

Our perfect, beautiful angel, Alexandra, at the tender age of 3, was reunited with Jesus on April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. Alexandra was born on August 23, 2022, to her proud parents, Trinity Scoles and Allen Gibelyou II.

Alexandra will always be remembered for her love of music. She loved sitting and playing with her daddy or simply watching and admiring him. She was a little girl in denim with a spunky soul—smart, sassy, and full of life—with the most beautiful eyes that could light up any room she entered. Even at her young age, she could help cook breakfast, telling you what was missing from the pancakes and when it was time to flip them.

She loved Bluey, her favorite snack was Cheetos Puffs, and she especially enjoyed chasing her Papa around playing “Piggies Go Pop.” Alley Cat was such a loving and giving child, and she continued to give through the “Gift of Life” program.

One of her favorite sayings was: “Let me think about it… Nooooo.”

Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Trinity Scoles (Dalton Ciolek) and Allen Gibelyou II; brother, Maximus “Max” Leaming; grandparents: Kevin Scoles “Grandpa”, Amber Leaming “Nana” (James Manning), Amber and Doyle Israel “Nana & Papa”, and Allen “Papa Al” Gibelyou Sr. “Lillie Jurkiewicz”. Allie Cat was also survived by Great Grandpa Kevin Gibelyou; aunts and uncles: Isaac Gibelyou (Kylie Johnson), Emma Scoles, Trenton and Drake Miller, Joslyn Pardue-Renaud, Haylee Pardue, and a special Godfather Ricky “Icky” Merrow; along with a host of cousins as well as numerous Great Aunts and Uncles.

She was Predeceased by Great Grandma, Nancy Fletcher, Grandma, Cynthia Scoles; Great Grandmothers: Sandy Scoles and Sharon Syrowik; Great Papa, Mark Reeves.

A farewell Princess Ball will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI. Pastor Andrew Lacy will officiate. James Michael Chalenko, a devoted firefighter and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, just five days shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on April 20, 1944, in Saginaw, Michigan, James was the cherished son of the late John and Eunice B. (Coffey) Chalenko. His life was deeply rooted in the community that shaped him, and he carried the spirit of Saginaw with him in every endeavor.

A graduate of Saginaw High School, James found his true calling as a firefighter for the city of Saginaw, where he made history as the youngest ever to be promoted to Lieutenant. His love for the job was matched only by the deep camaraderie he shared with his colleagues, many of whom felt more like family.

James lived a full life just the way he wanted and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Those who knew him remember a man unwavering in his loyalty, a steadfast friend who would do anything for those he cared about. Christ A. Anagnost

Christ Anagnost passed away surrounded by his beloved family on April 13 at the age of 90.

Christ, born Christ Anagnostopulos, was born on October 2, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to Greek immigrant parents, Athanasios Anagnostopulos and Angeline Papalexiou. He is survived by his beloved wife, Olga Anagnost; his sons, Athanasios “Tommy” Anagnost, Nicholas “Niko” Anagnost, Constantine “Deno” Anagnost; his daughter, Angela Repke, and her husband, Brad Repke. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Arianna and Anderson, who will hold fond memories of their “Papou.”

With integrity, passion, and love, Christ cultivated a rich life centered on his family and friends. He was a proud graduate of Wayne State University, earning his Bachelor of Arts, and then a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Wayne State Law School on June 22, 1961. From there, Christ practiced law in his community of Saginaw, Michigan for over 50 years as a respected member of the State Bar of Michigan. Known for his charisma, honesty, and commitment to helping the underdog, he made a lasting impact on both his profession and his community.

Beyond his career, Christ was a man of many interests and hobbies. He was a competitive golfer, an avid hunter, and a devoted reader and writer. He and his family were long-standing members of the Saginaw Country Club, where many lasting friendships bloomed.

Christ was deeply devoted to his Greek faith and community. He was a pivotal figure at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, where he served in numerous roles. Among his many contributions, he was especially proud to be one of the founders of the Greek Festival of Saginaw. His family volunteered together in the legendary gyro tent where great memories were made. He was also an active member of the Order of A.H.E.P.A., Saginaw Valley Chapter #216.

At the heart of Christ’s life was his love for his family, especially his wife, Olga, who he adored every day. They shared a loving marriage of 54 years. Their love story began with a simple but meaningful gesture—a single rose given to Olga every Monday after they first met—symbolizing a lifetime of devotion.

Christ’s greatest attributes were his authenticity, wit, and integrity, and his legacy will continue with his children and grandchildren. He instilled in them a strong work ethic, sincerity, and passion for all that they do. Tommy, Nick, and Deno cherish memories and lessons on the golf course with their dad, while Angela is forever grateful for her inherited love of the written word. He would say that his greatest achievement was his family and he was forever proud of them. Christ will be remembered as a fiercely loving husband, father, and grandfather, whose life was defined by service, generosity, and love.
