Diabetic wounds are something that should not be ignored. Diabetics need to be vigilant when dealing with wounds. It is very important to have diabetic foot checks on a regular basis. Any wounds need to be evaluated as soon as possible by a podiatrist. Failure to to do could lead to osteomyelitis, which is an infection in the bone. Picture below is an X-ray showing bone erosion after ulceration which was present for 4 weeks.
