Cancer treatment ended. The suffering didn’t.
Late radiation damage is one of the most overlooked complications in cancer care. Jaw pain. Bone loss. Bladder damage. Wounds that won’t heal. These patients finished the hardest fight of their lives — and now they’re struggling with something most doctors don’t have an answer for.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is FDA approved for late radiation injuries. Medicare covers it. And most people in our region have never heard of it.
If this sounds like you or someone you love — or if you’re a provider who sees these patients — send us a DM. We’re right here in Saginaw serving the Great Lakes Bay Region.

We get this question a lot and it deserves a real answer, not a sales pitch.

Yes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is safe. But the honest answer is that it depends heavily on where you go and who is running the program. There is a big difference between a physician-supervised medical center with FDA-cleared equipment and a wellness spa with an inflatable chamber.

This post lays out exactly what to look for and what questions to ask before you start treatment anywhere, including here.

A board-certified hyperbaric physician explains the real risks, how common they are, and what makes a reputable HBOT center safe.

Most people don't know this, but sudden hearing loss in one ear is a medical emergency with a very short treatment window.

If you wake up and one ear goes silent, the worst thing you can do is wait and see. The cochlear hair cells that process sound do not grow back. Time genuinely matters here.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a recognized treatment option for sudden hearing loss and we are right here in Saginaw. If you or someone you know has experienced this, read this first.

And YES, Most Major private insurances cover the treatment costs!

One of the most common reasons people wait too long to call us is a simple question they are afraid to ask: will my insurance cover this?

We want to share something that stayed with us.

A patient came to us after months of bleeding from his bladder caused by radiation treatment he had received years earlier. His urologist had done everything possible. He was exhausted and running out of hope.

We started hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Two weeks later, the bleeding stopped completely.

Radiation can cause lasting damage to surrounding tissue long after treatment ends. It is one of the conditions hyperbaric oxygen therapy was specifically designed to treat, and it is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans.

If you or someone you love is dealing with complications from prior radiation treatment and has been told there are no more options, there may be more to explore. We are right here in Saginaw and we would be glad to have that conversation.
