Hello NW Yoga Feast family~ I have to admit that it does feel a little strange to not be preparing for the Feast at this time. I held a devotion to it's vision and co-creative energies for a decade, wow! There is still a little glimmer of possibility to transplant the NWYF to a new home, but this is yet to be revealed. I hope the space you kept open for the gathering is filling with other amazing soul enriching moments.

I do want to invite you to check out an upcoming co-creative event I am hosting with Yoga Teacher and Soma Therapist Elizabeth Ruff. Together we are merging over 50 years of experience with the healing arts of yoga, dance, energy work and Soma therapy to name a few. We have developed a 300 hr WildCore™ Movement and Yoga Teacher Training that is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. This could be a great launching point to begin or further your path as a healing movement educator, help you gain your 200-500 hour RYT or simply enrich your soul for ongoing personal evolution.

I have connected with many of you over the years on the dance floor of the earth, at meal times, connection circles and morning coffee. Let me know if you feel a tickle of a 'Yes'! We have a Q and A coming up in later July for those interested.

Dear Eureka Institute supporters,

I want to thank everyone who has supported our efforts to promote lifelong learning by bringing educational and recreational programming to our community over the years. It is with a heavy heart that I share we will be closing our doors and putting our organization to rest. Including the 16 years of running Camp Eureka before the Eureka Institute’s formation in 2011, it’s been nearly 25 years of service—a remarkable journey! However, a minor insurance claim, along with my personal calling to a new chapter, has brought us to this difficult decision.

We are proud of the events and programs we’ve provided, from Sandpoint SummerFest and Northwest Yoga Feast to offering gathering spaces for camps, weddings, and other events. Our Construction Basics Initiative introduced hundreds of at-risk youth to the construction industry while completing valuable community service projects and more.

To our local and regional supporters—volunteers, foundations, and donors—your contributions made our work possible. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!

With that said, we are currently working to find a new home for some of our premier events, Northwest Yoga Feast and Sandpoint SummerFest. If anyone has ideas or leads on suitable locations, please let us know; who knows, maybe some traditions can continue.

On a personal note, my bones are feeling their age, our family is growing with the arrival of our first grandchild, special people have entered my life (!), and perhaps it’s just a call to the wild! It’s been a beautiful, life-changing journey, and I’m incredibly grateful to this Eureka community.

Exciting News!!

Rob and Melissa are finally working on a brand new album!

A note from Rob and Melissa:

We are day 9 in to a 21-day Kickstarter campaign to help promote the new album that is all about raising the collective vibration of love, peace and joy out into the world - we couldn’t be more proud of it mostly because we have created, rehearsed, and worked out so much of the music with so many of you along the way. We will finally have a way to share it on a grander scale!

We’re at a pretty big juncture in the creation of this project and are super excited for this next big piece to bring it to fruition. We owe so much gratitude to the Northwest Feast Family for helping to kick us off into a wild and amazing ride of a life of kirtan and Bhakti yoga - starting over 10 years ago! We are over the moon to launch these love vibrations we raise together, out into the world.

Meet MJ! She's one of three NEW workshop facilitators at NWYF. Last year was her first year at the Feast, and she was inspired to participate with an offering in 2024. MJ says, "NWYF feels like one big happy family! It's like being at a big retreat, rather than a yoga festival. I loved all of the time we had connecting during the meals. It was so wonderful to get to connect with so many amazing humans!"
