Vermont’s Newest 100 Year Old Funeral Home

Our motto of “Vermont’s Newest 100 Year Old Funeral Home" represents the traditions of a family funeral home coupled with the new traditions that we are making today. In 1918, Anthony Terrien opened our family's funeral home, A.L. Terrien & Sons, and began serving families with the best personal and professional service he was able to provide. In 1984 we began our funeral home in St. Albans to assist families with burial and cremation services. Raymond Levesque and his partner and friend, G. Thomas Brady, continued to serve our community with dignity and compassion.

In 2018, Jeff Levesque received his training and licensure and became Franklin County's only Cremationist. With our partnership with Mountain View Crematory, Jeff now performs all cremations for the families that we serve. It is will great pride, we can guarantee that your loved one stays in our care at all times. Today, we continue in the tradition our previous generations began, providing you with friendly, sincere and gentle care. The staff of Brady & Levesque strives to continue the funeral customs of our forefathers, as well as meet the needs of the families we serve well into the 21st Century. We are located in the historic Houghton House which was built in 1799, and is the second oldest home in St. Albans. Our home was part of the "Underground Railroad", providing a safe place for many slaves on their way to Canada for freedom. In the historic Houghton House, we have maintained all the comforts of this colonial home to make our facilities feel like the comfort of your home. As a family, we have grown up with the knowledge and understanding of all that is needed to help you and your loved ones in your greatest time of need. With our commitment to remain an independent, family owned and operated funeral home, you can be assured that we will continue to serve you for generations to come.
