🚨 It’s time for our monthly recap! 🚨

During the month of May, our ambulance crews responded to a total of 81 calls across Fremont County:

🚑 49 in St. Anthony
🚑 18 in Ashton
🚑 14 in Island Park

As the busy summer season arrives and call volume continues to increase, we encourage everyone to stay safe, be prepared, and never hesitate to call for help when needed!

🏥 Thank you Madison Health for inviting us to participate in your Summer Safety Series! 🏥

This community outreach event provided an excellent opportunity for local first responders to engage with the community in a positive and educational environment.

Families had the chance to meet Law Enforcement, Fire, Flight, and EMS personnel. They were also able to tour emergency response vehicles, ask questions and become more familiar and comfortable with the services these agencies provide.

We appreciate Madison Hospital for going above and beyond to support both the community and local first responders! 🚑🚔🚒

🚨 Fremont County!! Today marks the beginning of the 100 Deadliest Days — the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when we typically see a significant increase in traumatic injuries and serious accidents. 🚨

🚑 During last year’s 100 Deadliest Days, Fremont County EMS responded to 414 emergency calls. Among those incidents were 5 fatalities at the Sand Dunes, 11 fatalities involving motor vehicle accidents, and 2 drownings.

While accidents can happen and are not always preventable, we encourage everyone to take extra precautions during these busy summer months. Stay alert, make safe choices, and help us keep our community safe 🙏

🚨 It’s National EMS Week, and we want to recognize the EMTs and paramedics who dedicate themselves to serving our community every day.

EMS is so much more than just lights and sirens. It’s early mornings, long nights, missed holidays, and time away from family. It’s making difficult decisions in challenging environments and responding to situations beyond anyone’s control.

Those in EMS witness and experience moments that can leave lasting impacts — moments that test strength, resilience, and compassion. But through every life touched, and every patient helped, this profession continues to be one of the most meaningful and rewarding callings there is.

We love all of our crew members, we are so extremely grateful for their sacrifice, and we are blessed and honored to be able to serve such a wonderful community. 🚑❤️🚑

We wanted to start giving a monthly re-cap of the calls logged during each month.

🚑 Although we cannot give information on what happened during each of these calls, it’s important to know that EMS is always here and available… please don’t hesitate to call.

In the month of April, our crews were called out 69 times!

🚨 45 calls in St. Anthony

🚁We wanted to extend a big welcome to Intermountain Flight & Ambulance Services

🚁 They are the new air ambulance that will be stationed at Madison Hospital, and responding to several of our critical care calls.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Rexburg community and Madisonhealth for the warm welcome and partnership as we begin this next chapter together. We’re honored to stand alongside local providers and first responders to expand access to critical care when it matters most.

🩸Air Idaho is returning to West Yellowstone for the summer! This is great for all of our Fremont County Residents and visitors on the North end of the county!

🩸They’ve also upped their game and are now trained to do open thoracostomy’s!

🩸”This procedure is more reliable than needle decompression since, in some instances, the needle is too short, can kink, or may clog. For some patients, especially in rural areas that are farther from a trauma center, this procedure can mean the difference between life and death.”

🩸If you ever land yourself a chopper ride, they are the best of the best.!

Air Idaho Rescue has reopened its seasonal air medical base at Yellowstone Airport.

🚁 We wanted to give a huge shout out to our critical care work colleagues and partners in the air!

🚁 Last night Air Idaho provided dinner for our local first responders, along with a great training opportunity focusing on clear communication, team cooperation and tactile practices.

🚑 Members of our crew were asked to perform life saving measures and intubations, all while being BLIND FOLDED! Team members were allowed to assist, but only through vocal instructions.

🚑 Our EMT’s and Paramedics nailed it, gaining a clear airway and perfect tube placement, all while Not being able to see! 🙌🙌

Thank you Air Idaho for everything you do for us and our patients! Whether it’s coming to our aid on a critical care call, or assisting our agency with trainings and procedures, we appreciate it all!!
