Today’s adventure was anything but ordinary!
Mike Dominic and Grumpy spent the morning exploring the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum in St. Augustine and they had an absolute blast diving into a world of oddities, curiosities, and jaw-dropping wonders. From bizarre artifacts to mind-bending illusions, there was something surprising around every corner.

Some of their favorites included testing their strength just like the strongmen of the past, marveling at a two-headed parrot, and admiring an entire space station made out of matchsticks — talk about talent and patience! Each new discovery brought big smiles, lots of laughs, and plenty of “you’ve got to be kidding me!” moments.

We love days filled with curiosity, wonder, and unforgettable memories — and today was definitely one for the books!

Today our dining room was filled with warm smiles, full hearts, and delicious Thanksgiving favorites. Residents, families, and team members gathered together to share a beautiful lunch, swap stories, and celebrate the joy of togetherness.

A huge thank you to our amazing dining team for preparing such a delicious feast! Your hard work, creativity, and care make holidays like this feel truly special. We are so grateful for everything you do.

Today’s challenge: a towering marble-run masterpiece!

Jim was in his element this morning. He’s always been our master builder — from vintage car kits to an incredible giant model of the Titanic! While those tiny pieces aren’t as easy for him to handle anymore, this marble run set was the perfect way to bring out his love of building.

Not only did Jim craft an impressive tower, but he also jumped right in to help his fellow residents, sharing tips, encouragement, and his lifelong passion for creating.

As part of our Montessori-inspired approach, we focus on what our residents CAN do — their strengths, their talents, and the joy they bring to each other — instead of what they cannot. Today was the perfect example of that in action.

When that first marble zipped through the entire run, the whole room erupted in cheers!

Morning Exercise Fun!

Sometimes exercise just doesn’t sound enticing first thing in the morning… but turn it into a game, and suddenly the smiles, laughter, and participation come pouring in!

Today Sherry, Sandy, Renie, Sharon, and Jim tried their hand at some Reindeer Ring Toss, and they absolutely nailed it! Great job, everyone!

Game-based exercise isn’t just fun — it’s incredibly beneficial for seniors with dementia:
- Encourages movement in a low-pressure, playful way
- Stimulates cognitive function through coordination and focus
- Boosts social engagement and reduces feelings of isolation

Morning Chair Yoga at The Greens!

Our day started with smiles, deep breaths, and some feel-good stretches during Chair Yoga! From gentle twists to mindful breathing, everyone loosened up, relaxed, and got their bodies moving. The energy was light, the laughs were plenty, and the calm vibes were the perfect way to kick off the morning.

Chair yoga isn’t just fun — it’s powerful, especially for seniors living with Alzheimer’s.

What an amazing day on the water! 🐬🌊

Today’s outing was an absolute blast! We ventured out with Red Boat Tours at the Vilano Beach Pier, and Mother Nature did not disappoint. Dolphins popped up to say hello, and we spotted all kinds of wildlife along the way—ospreys, vultures, seagulls, and pelicans soaring overhead.

Our Captain and First Mate kept us laughing with their nonstop jokes and fun facts. The sunshine, the breeze, and the sparkling water made it the perfect day to cruise. We even got incredible views of downtown St. Augustine and learned so much local history along the way.

Great company, great weather, great memories!

We love our white board word games! Whether it’s Word Harvesting, Sudoku, Common Thread Trivia, A to Z Categories, or a fast-paced round of Scattergories, our residents jump right in and get those brains buzzing.

These games aren’t just fun—they’re powerful tools for keeping minds sharp!

For seniors without Alzheimer’s: brain games help boost focus, strengthen memory, improve problem-solving skills, and keep cognitive functions active and engaged.

For seniors living with Alzheimer’s or dementia: these activities provide gentle mental stimulation, help maintain routines, encourage communication, and spark moments of recognition and joy.

Every morning is filled with laughs, teamwork, creativity, and that proud smile when the right answer finally pops up!

Game Day Fun Alert!

Pat and Char were two very inquisitive ladies today as they took on a brand-new challenge — Triangle Takeover! 🔺 The goal? Claim more triangles than your opponent! From sorting colors to carefully stretching rubber bands and placing game pieces just right, this game gave both the mind and hands a great workout.

Games like this are not only fun and competitive but also fantastic for keeping the brain sharp, improving hand-eye coordination, and boosting focus — all while sparking laughter and friendly rivalry!

Pat took home first place today, but Char was right on her heels! Great job, ladies — we love seeing that playful spirit shine!

What an amazing day at our Frontier Advantage Network Health Fair!

A huge shout-out to all of our wonderful vendors (Cornerstone Caregiving St. Augustine, Concierge Care, Bravery Home Healthcare, Home Instead, Select Therapy, Ears to You, The Healing Hive) and who came out to support and make today such a success! From Mimosas to Maple Bourbon Lemonade, from spinning wheels and a can-shooting game to fresh local honey and a delicious spread prepared by our chef — it was truly an afternoon filled with fun, flavor, and fantastic information.
