Rest can look like:

If you’re feeling stressed today, try a 20-minute nature pill.

Studies show spending time in nature lowers stress levels, among other health benefits. 🌿

Spending time in nature can look like:

🌲 Walking a trail near your work or home
🌲 Exploring a state or national park with family, friends, or your dog
🌲 Finding a calm spot outside to try breathing techniques or being more present
🌲 Taking a walk or bike ride by the ocean

If you’re spending time outside, try a color walk. 🎨 Pick a color before heading outside, and make a mental note of when you see that color. This is a great way to reconnect with yourself and the present moment.

Think of small habits as daily deposits into your health and wellness account.

Some small habits to think about this week:

πŸ’§ Morning hydration: Try having a glass of water before coffee or tea
🚢 Move for 5-10 minutes: Go for a walk at lunch or after dinner
πŸ₯• Add one vegetable: Add one serving of veggies to your dinner this week
πŸ“΄ Disconnect: Limit using electronics 20 minutes before bed
πŸ““ Gratitude practice: Write down three things you’re grateful for before you go to sleep

Remember, it’s always about progress, not perfection. πŸ’š
