Our organization is dedicated to providing assistance in covering the extra expense for families whose children participate in hippotherapy. Hippotherapy is used as part of a child's treatment plan for Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Therapy is conducted both on and off the horse. Many families must bare both the expense of the therapy session (insurance co-pays, deductibles or even private paying for sessions) and the Horse Fee for each visit. The Horse Fee is necessary to cover operational costs, horse boarding, veterinary care, and needed supplies for the therapy session like helmets, sunscreen, bottled water, bug spray, and even treats for the horses. At Horseplay Therapy our goal is to provide financial assistance for as many hippotherapy participants as possible. We believe whole heartily in the benefits of hippotherapy and we don't want cost to be a deciding factor in whether a child participates.

Our mission at Horseplay Therapy Center is to provide children with special needs a foundation for developing life skills that improve their overall quality of life through the use of equine assisted physical, occupation, and speech therapies in a safe and caring environment.
