We are deeply honored to have participated in the Out of the Darkness DeKalb County Walk this past weekend — a powerful and meaningful event dedicated to raising awareness and honoring lives lost to su***de.
September is Su***de Prevention Month, and the timing of this walk underscores how vital it is to come together as a community — to support one another, offer hope, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
This cause is close to our hearts. As mental health professionals, we believe in the importance of connection, compassion, and offering help before someone reaches crisis. We’re immensely grateful to the organizers, volunteers, fundraisers, and participants who made the walk possible.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember — you are not alone. There is help:
- In a crisis: Call 988, the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
- Text TALK to 741-741 for the Crisis Text Line
- Reach out to a trusted mental health provider or friend
Let’s continue to walk together—in advocacy, in compassion, and in solidarity.
