Learn how these natural chemical compounds can change lives from an expert on essential oils.

And since cooking, eating, and drinking are such a natural part of our everyday lives, it comes as no surprise essential oils are also useful in the kitchen. Because of the high concentration of essential oils, a little goes a long way, and the health benefits are bountiful.

Pomegranates are in season. Here is a great way to use them. Made this dish today. Roasted in the oven at 425 cauliflower florets, cubed butternut squash (could use sweet potato) and chickpeas seasoned with Tuscan Herb Salt from Peaceful Pine Acres. When they are soft and beginning to brown, remove from oven.

To assemble, spread hummus on a plate (see alternative spread below) followed by arugula, roasted veggies and chickpeas, cooked quinoa or rice, and pomegranate seeds. It’s earthy, savory and sweet. So good!

Tahini Sauce Spread
3 Tbsp plain yogurt
1 Tbsp tahini or peanut butter
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Chili flakes
