We’ve been savoring the simple joys like colorful nourishing meals that fuel my energy and my workouts, barefoot gardening breaks between client calls, farmers market hauls with my daughter in tow, and slow, playful moments that remind me what all of this work is for.

Looking for a refreshing Fourth of July drink that actually supports your energy, digestion, and gut health?

This Kombucha Sparkler Mocktail is one of my go-to’s for summer celebrations. It’s festive, hydrating, and microbiome-friendly (with no sugar crash in sight).

Here’s how I make it:

🍹 KOMBUCHA SPARKLER MOCKTAIL
• ½ cup berry or plain
• ½ cup sparkling water
• Juice of ½ a lime
• A handful of organic berries
• A few fresh mint leaves
• Ice

Optional add-ins:
• A splash of unsweetened cranberry juice
• A pinch of sea salt for trace minerals

Why I love it:
- Supports gut health with probiotics
- Helps regulate blood sugar
- Keeps me hydrated and energized
- Tastes amazing and looks like it belongs on a party table

Celebrations are meant to be enjoyed, but that doesn’t mean you have to feel sluggish, bloated, or “off track” afterward. 💥

Here’s how I approach holidays like the 4th of July with intention and freedom:

1. Eat a protein-rich meal before the party – I never show up starving
2. Hydrate ahead of time – I bring a full water bottle with me
3. Plate my food and walk away – so I’m not grazing mindlessly
4. Set a few gentle non-negotiables – like skipping food that doesn't sit well with me
5. Bring something I want to eat – because I deserve options that feel good
6. Practice mindful confidence – “No thank you” is a full sentence
7. Remind myself what I actually want from the event – great conversation, memories, connection
