FACIAL REJUVENATION | ACUPUNCTURE + HEALING MODALITIES

Sometimes referred to as the “non-invasive facial-lift”, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a FULL FACE + NECK treatment that blends the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the knowledge of modern science and anatomy, to specifically treat skin conditions such as fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, scarring, and heaviness in the face and neck. Acupuncture is paired with light therapy, facial cupping and gua sha to increase the results.

SPLEEN CHANNEL

As August sweeps in, we enter Chinese Medicine’s season of Late Summer. These lingering warm and sunny days are governed by the Spleen channel and Earth element. It is a time to be outside and let our bare feet be grounded to the earth.

Chinese Medicine’s Spleen channel plays a large role throughout our entire body. It is responsible for transforming everything we eat and drink into qi (energy) and blood. It is then responsible to transport it throughout the body as nutrients to your muscles, mind, gut, veins, and organs.

When the energy of the Spleen is weak we tend to have symptoms such as fatigue, loose stool, poor appetite, nausea, weak muscles and limbs, pale complexion, organ prolapse, bruising, light periods, infertility, and an overall feeling of cold.
The Spleen doesn’t like cold or damp. Foods that are frozen and raw take too long to break down. Dairy is a good example of something that can cause phlegm and bloating. Eating foods like soups, stews, and broth are easy to digest. Yellow is the color of the Spleen energy. Sweet is the flavor. A good snack is unsweetened yellow raisins. Make sure you are chewing your food and eating mindfully, without heightened emotions or while multitasking. Eat moderate amounts and walk after.

While the Spleen helps give energy to digest in the gut, it also helps digest in the mind. Emotionally it is in charge of digesting information and experiences. When the Spleen’s energy is weak people tend to have cluttered minds, ruminating and worrying, day and night. They talk excessively, overthink, over sympathize, struggle to say no, and have cluttered homes. The problem with overthinking is we worry without action. We solve nothing at the ground level, only in our head, and are frozen in reality. We need healthy Spleen qi to push us forward and take action.

So how do we boost our Spleen qi? We take a break. We say no. We clean and declutter our thoughts and environment. We make “to do” lists with small goals. We eat warm and nourishing food. Meditate to clear our thoughts. We get Acupuncture.

EXPLORING THE ELEMENTS IN AYURVEDA WITH SHAWNA | 75MIN WORKSHOP

Sunday | June 29 | 1:00-2:15P. $15

We will begin our time together with a short tea ceremony, pouring gratitude into our cups as we settle into our space. We will talk about our digestive fire, our Agni, and the importance of keeping that fire going.

While sipping on our tea we’ll discuss a few daily activities or Dinacharya , that you can bring into your self care routine. Shawna is on the path to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and is excited to share what she has learned so far.

Followed by some gentle movements to prepare our body and mind to absorb the ancient knowledge that Ayurveda holds.

A few topics we will discuss:

~ 5 Elemental Theory

~ 3 Doshas

~ 20 Qualities or Gunas

To help all the info really sink in, Shawna will lead a sound bath mediation, giving you the space to reflect on what we learned together. There will be time after for questions, more tea and connecting with those around you.

Come explore Ayurveda and the elements within.

FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY

Experience a new level of flexibility, mobility, and ease in your body with Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)—a transformative, table-based assisted stretching technique.

Unlike traditional stretching, FST focuses on the body’s fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, bones, and joints. Through gentle traction, rhythmic movement, and targeted stretches, FST releases tightness and adhesions in the fascia while decompressing your joints. This creates more space for improved alignment and smoother, more efficient movement.

What makes FST truly unique is its ability to enhance flexibility without discomfort. Guests leave their sessions feeling lighter, more relaxed, and surprisingly mobile. With consistent sessions, FST can lead to better posture, increased joint mobility, and a greater range of motion. It’s especially beneficial for those dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or athletes looking to boost performance and reduce injury risk.

Getting Ready for Your FST Session:

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing like you would for yoga or fitness.

Relax and breathe deeply during your session to maximize benefits.

Stay well-hydrated before and after your appointment to support your fascia’s health and recovery.

Whether your goal is pain relief, greater flexibility, or enhanced athletic ability, Fascial Stretch Therapy can help you move more freely and feel your best.
