Fran is a consistent example of what it means to serve those in need with a compassionate heart. She is dedicated to her patients, goes above and beyond to assure her patients receive their MAT medications outside her scheduled hours, calls in scripts on the weekends, if needed, so patients don’t go into withdrawal, and assures patient safety is a number one priority. Fran is usually the first one in and the last to leave. Her charting is always on time. Even when Fran’s schedule is booked back-to-back, if a patient calls that she hasn’t seen in a while, she finds time to squeeze the patient in to make sure the patient is okay. Fran takes the time to make all patients feel heard and understood, while educating them on MAT and the importance of safe care at all levels of care. Fran attends community events with our team to assure more people have access to MAT education.

Fran also cares very much about the people she works with. She dressed as a pilgrim at Thanksgiving to bring us joy and planned “SOUPer Wednesday”, a soup day to increase team connectedness. Fran’s kindness, humor, and joyful spirit is infectious around the office. We are so lucky to have her as a part of the RCA St. Charles Team.

Additionally, on November 1, 2024, Fran led our IP Nursing team in successfully running a code blue on a patient who was unresponsive. Thanks to her expertise in emergency medicine, her unmatched leadership skills, and competence in everything she does, this patient was sent to the hospital with a chance and returned to RCA alive and well.

We are so grateful to have Fran on our team here at RCA. She’s an inspiration to all of Nursing with her consistently high quality of care, her dedication to patient education, and her innate sense of mentorship. Despite this skillset, Fran continues to be a lifelong learner – actively seeking opportunities for growth and furthering her own education. She has this gift where she’s able to exude all of these qualities in the most selfless ways, with the utmost humility. Plain and simple, Fran is an asset to every team at STC - she truly just makes everything better.
