✨ The healing continues. ✨
When I created the Gathering for Peace in Elmhurst last March, the intention was simple yet heartfelt: to offer a safe, healing space for anyone feeling angry, lost, hurt, or overwhelmed—a place to pray, meditate, breathe, or simply be.
What I didn’t realize then was how far the ripple effect of that gathering would reach.
This afternoon, a beautiful group of Reiki and sound healers came together on the west side of Chicago to share a Sound Healing & Reiki Meditation with individuals who deeply needed peace, restoration, and care. For many, it was their first experience with sound healing and Reiki. They arrived open-hearted and willing to receive something far removed from the stressors of daily life.
Before the session began, my husband Dan (not pictured) and I joined Neighborhood Working for Peace’s Peace Circle, where we were reminded of something so important: how alike we truly are, how connected we are, and how peace begins within each of us.
The healing session was deeply received, with participants sharing feelings of relaxation, clarity, and inner calm.
Neighborhood Working for Peace was one of the two recipient charities supported through Gathering for Peace, and I’m so grateful to founder Steven Brooks for embracing and experiencing these healing modalities as a path to cultivating peace from the inside out.
On behalf of all of us, we hope seeds of healing were planted today—seeds that will continue to grow in hearts, minds, families, and communities.
Deep gratitude to the healers who generously shared their time and gifts:
✨ Reiki Healers: Bryant Sturden, Monica Rundell, Clara Hughes, Daniel Santana
✨ Sound Healers: Betty Geroulis, Darrell Masterson
Grateful. Humbled. Blessed to continue this work of healing and peace. 💛
