Fernando was showing early signs of autism. At the age of 14 months, Fernando started receiving adjustments 💥.

He was having significant delays in multiple developmental milestones. He was lagging in his motor and social skills, along with joint attention. He was not walking, and when his mother assisted him, he would toe walk🦶🏼. He had delayed speech 🗣️and minimal eye contact🙈. He was exhibiting signs of sensory processing disorder and facing difficulty with transitions. Additionally, he would repeat things he liked, such as twirling his hands 👐🏼 and shaking his head.

Within a month 🗓️ of Fernando’s first visit to our office, he showed significant improvement. His joint attention and eye contact 👀 improved considerably, and he began to try and learn to walk 🦶🏼with more confidence in his movement. His mother reported that he was more relaxed and at ease in his car seat and stroller. Additionally, she noticed a decrease📉 in his self-stimulatory behaviors, such as hand flapping 👐🏼. Overall, she observed better mood regulation and the ability to calm down 😌 or self-soothe. She also noticed an increase in his happiness, excitement, and independence.

After two months 🗓️🗓️ of chiropractic care, Fernando was able to walk 🦶🏼 without tippy-toes and communicate 🗣️ fully. His nervous system 🧠 was balanced ⚖️, and the interference due to stress that became stuck in his nervous system 🧠 before birth was removed. As a result, he was more relaxed and less stressed around people, his attention became more focused, and he began mimicking sounds, such as animal noises.

By three months 🗓️🗓️🗓️, Fernando was fully engaged and no longer needed early intervention therapy. His mother also reported that he was experiencing less illness 🤧 due to the positive effects of chiropractic care on the Vagus Nerve.

Don’t worry!! No baby 👶🏻 cracking is going on here🫣 lol.

But we do use a special type of adjustment for our new little patients. Very gentle and specific ❤️.

What do mommas want to know when it comes to chiropractic care for their babies👇🏼❤️?!

2. Do you adjust babies like you adjust big people? NOPE ❌! Newborn babies and infants are adjusted very gentle and specific. Babies are very different in many ways than our adult patients and we adjust specifically to meet their needs & health concerns❤️.

3. Why do new babies need chiropractic care? As beautiful as the process is, birth is very hard on everyone. All new babies should be checked for stress 😖 stuck in their nervous systems 🧠 and spines by a neurologically based chiropractor as soon as possible after birth! This assures baby doesn’t grow with stress (what chiropractors call subluxation) stuck inside of their quickly developing body and nervous system. With proper development a baby will meet milestones at appropriate times and with ease.
