Nightguards protect teeth from grinding - but the concern is what's happening to your temporomandibular joint and airway when a nightguard is used.

Nightguards also don't stop clenching and grinding. We can still have parafunctional and harmful habits while wearing a nightguard because they aren't treating WHY we clench and grind in the first place!

I had a lovely lady come to the office today with "Trigeminal Neuralgia" for the past 9 years that kept getting worse and worse. I could not even touch her face with causing terrible pain. A big Thank You to BioResearch and ASA for providing the new MLS Mphi Hi laser too our office. Less than 5 minutes of laser treatment relieved her pain for over one hour. I will find out tomorrow how long it kept the pain at bay. Keep tuned...
