Eliana Ritt, MSOT, OTR/L joined Team Lumen in July 2025 as an Occupational Therapist, and we are thrilled to now offer Occupational Therapy to our Lumen Learners at the Oakland Campus with her expertise and support. Since joining, Eliana has brought incredible energy, kindness, and commitment, truly embodying Lumen’s Core Values in her work each day. Her arrival marks an exciting step forward in expanding our services and providing even more comprehensive care for our families.

Eliana was drawn to OT because of its holistic approval and the chance to use creative problem-solving to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. She loves coming to work every day because no two days are ever the same! The variety keeps her energized and makes every day engaging and rewarding.

We are so thankful to have Eliana on Team Lumen and invite you to join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Earlier this week, our team gathered for our very first Summer Picnic 🧺 We had such a wonderful time playing games, enjoying good food, and connecting with one another and our team members’ families.

We’re so grateful for this amazing team who pour their hearts into caring for our learners every day. After an evening of fun and laughter, we’re feeling refreshed and ready to take on the fall season with renewed energy! 🌟

The new school year is quickly approaching and it’s time to trade pool supplies for school supplies. To help your learners get ready for the upcoming school year, we invite you to join us for our next Parent Source Meeting on Tuesday, July 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

You have two ways to attend - In-person at our St. Clair Shores center and virtually via Teams (link will be provided upon RSVP).

This session will be led by our practicum students and will focus on:

• Navigating new routines
• Supporting learners with focus and comprehension
• Helping your child understand school expectations

We’ll also provide an overview of Lumen’s Pre-K Readiness Program and other skill-based groups that promote school readiness.

Join us for our upcoming Parent Source Meeting, hosted by our dedicated Lumen Practicum students!

This session will focus on practical, easy-to-use strategies to help your learner prepare for a successful start to the new school year.

Topics will include navigating new routines and environments, how to support focus and comprehension, and how to help learners understand school expectations.

In addition, the practicum team will provide an overview of Lumen’s Pre-K Readiness program and other skill-based groups designed to promote school readiness.

Attend in-person at our St. Clair Shores Center or join us virtually.

RSVP at events@lumenkids.com letting us know whether you’ll attend in person or virtually.

You do not need to be a current Lumen client to attend. However, Parent Source meetings are intended to support parents and families of children with an autism diagnosis. Please note that childcare is not available during these meetings.
