One of the most important things you can do for your skin has nothing to do with treatments or expensive products.... It’s wearing sunscreen every single day.

UV exposure happens every day, even when you don’t feel the sun.

☁️ Cloudy days: up to 80% of UV rays can still pe*****te through clouds.

❄️ Winter months: UV radiation is present year-round, and snow can actually reflect sunlight and increase exposure.

🏠 Indoors or working from home: UVA rays can pe*****te through windows and contribute to skin aging.

🤎 Darker skin tones: While melanin provides some natural protection, it does not fully prevent sun damage, hyperpigmentation, or collagen breakdown.

Daily SPF helps protect against:
• Premature aging
• Hyperpigmentation and melasma
• Collagen loss
• Long-term sun damage

If you’re investing in skincare, treatments, and a long-term plan for your skin, SPF is the step that protects those results!

Pregnancy comes with a lot of questions… and skincare is usually one of them.

Many common ingredients and aesthetic treatments aren’t recommended during pregnancy, while others are perfectly safe. The challenge is knowing which is which.

If you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, it’s always best to review your skincare routine and treatment plan with a qualified provider to ensure everything you’re using is appropriate during this stage.

Your skin may change during pregnancy, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate it alone. We can help you create a pregnancy-safe plan that supports your skin every step of the way.

At Beauty in Science, we’ve always believed that how you feel internally is just as important as how you look externally.

That belief is what led us to expand our approach to wellness.

We’re honored to introduce Angie, who will be offering mental health and wellness support here at Beauty in Science for individuals and families.
Angie provides a trauma-informed approach to care and specializes in areas such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and supporting individuals navigating disordered eating patterns, including sensory-related challenges around food.

She also works with business owners, homemakers, and accomplished professionals to help navigate everyday stressors, life transitions, and the ongoing pressures that come with balancing it all.
Our goal has always been to care for the whole person. Integrating mental wellness into our space allows us to support our community in a deeper, more meaningful way.

This is one more step toward the inside-out approach to care we believe in.Wellness, redefined. 🤍

Let’s talk about it. 👇️

Beef tallow has been trending online as a “natural moisturizer,” but for acne-prone skin, it’s usually not the best choice.

Why?
It’s very occlusive and high in fatty acids, which can easily clog pores and trap oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells in acne-prone skin types.

That doesn’t mean it’s bad for everyone. But if you’re already struggling with breakouts, congestion, or inflamed acne, adding something this heavy can make things worse instead of better.

This is exactly why skincare shouldn’t come from random TikTok trends. What works for one person’s skin may be completely wrong for another.

Your esthetician looks at:
• your skin type
• your acne triggers
• your barrier health
• your treatment plan

So when we recommend products or tell you to avoid something, it’s not random. It’s strategic.

Microneedling isn’t a one-and-done treatment.... One session starts the process. A series builds the result!

Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. But collagen remodeling takes time — and repetition.

After just one treatment, you may notice:
• A subtle glow
• Slightly smoother texture

But the real transformation happens after a series of 3–6 treatments, spaced appropriately. That’s when you start to see:
• Improved fine lines
• Firmer skin
• Reduced acne scarring
• More even texture

Think of it like going to the gym. One workout won’t change your body. Consistency will.
