These American Optical Co. sunglasses were carried by command module pilot Michael Collins on the Apollo 11 mission as part of the personal equipment carried by each astronaut. Collins donated the case to the Museum in 1984: https://s.si.edu/3Pt8b8t

Just an update: I am still practicing part-time at the three locations I listed in the pinned post: Walmart Bloomsburg, Walmart Coal Township and Walmart Hometown. The staffs are excellent and knowledgeable and if you want an appointment with me, just call one of the Vision Center lines and ask for me. I am in Bloomsburg on Mondays, Coal Township most Fridays and Hometown (Tamaqua) two Saturdays per month, 10am to 4pm.

If you have questions, you may send a message through this page or call 272-245-0954. The phone line is monitored M-F, 9-5pm so please leave a detailed message for concerns or questions. It is not, however, an appointment line. All contact lens prescriptions given by me in the St. Clair Vision Center are now expired as they are only valid for one year from the date you were seen.

Thank you for reaching out to this page and many thanks to my patients who have followed me in this new adventure ("almost retirement").
