We were just made aware of an accident occurring near Beech Bottom/Windsor Heights area involving a Greyhound truck. All people and dogs are okay, but one of the hounds took off. Please be on the lookout for a FEMALE BRINDLE GREYHOUND wearing a black basket/greyhound muzzle and a lead! She could be anywhere in the surrounding areas. She is very spooked right now. Please do not approach, rather call us immediately! Her name is Eliza, but she may not come! She will most likely RUN if approached or chased!! Please reach out to us at (740)695-8387 (VETS). If you haven't started the preventatives for your pet,now is the time. (It is recommended to do the Flea, Tick, and Heartworm Preventatives all year long). We have several Preventatives to choose from. We even have a couple Preventatives that does everything ( Flea, tick and heartworm) with just one chew.
Also something new this year for us is Bravecto Quantum. This does fleas and ticks and last one year. This is an injection that we would do here at New Horizon. These are all prescriptions and your pet needs to have been seen within a year. For the Heartworm Preventative, if they have not been on it yet or for awhile they need to have a Heartworm test done. This test also checks for Lyme Disease.
