This week I had the honor of serving as a keynote presenter at Communities in Collaboration, hosted by the Central MN Child Advocacy Center and Stearns Benton Child Protection Team.
The room was full of educators, social workers, clinicians, attorneys, and advocates, all showing up for the same reason: supporting our local kids and families.
My session covered:
→ Autism diagnosis across the lifespan
→ The female presentation and why it gets missed
→ The difference between school and clinical evaluations
→ Evidence-based intervention and what families need to know
But what struck me most was the conversation in the room, people who rarely sit at the same table, finding common language together. No single professional sees the whole picture. When teams share what they observe, kids get answers faster.
That's what collaboration actually looks like. And it changes outcomes.
New blog post is up, with a link in bio.
