Since my partner broke his leg six weeks ago amongst other trials and tribulations that have beset me, I have been unable (mostly) to do my weekly soup kitchen run. Not only did I manage to get there today, but I had the awesome pleasure of taking with me my 12 year old son. To say I am proud of him and his efforts today are an understatement, this gave me the added joy to seething I truly love to do. He stepped right out of his comfort zone and mucked in in cooking and talking with those others that help out including those with mental health issues and homeless. Today, I can truly say I accomplished many things I am proud of, least of the fact that one more human being really gets what it is to give of himself ! It took me do many more years to learn this lesson! Go give of yourself to others less fortunate my friends, the rewards you will reap are likely to blow you away!!!!!! Fresh is back in business woo hoo !
