Hello, my friends!
Itās been a while since Iāve written anything of significance on this page (a year, yikes!) and spring seems like a perfect time to get back on the saddle. I love spring! Itās my favorite time of year. I love how the air smells of fresh earth after the first spring rain. I love the vibrate color of the trees when the first buds start to bloom and the first shoots of grass pop out of the ground. You donāt see that shade of green any other time of year. Everything feels fresh and new. You also see those dregs of last yearās growth rotting away transforming into dirt for the next cycle. Now that I live in the country with trees all around my house I am reminded daily of the important balance of the circle of life. Spring asks us to let go of what is dead and broken and to nurture the fresh new life thatās bubbling up within. Do you have to courage to let go of the past and the strength of spirit to bring your dreams to life?
This message is mirrored in Chinese Medicine. Spring is the time of the Liver and Gallbladder and is ruled by Wind. Our Liver/Gallbladder Qi is healthy when our qi moves freely and unincumbered. We experience this by feeling we can express ourselves freely and with sincerity. We have the courage to make decisions that feel right for us and follow through with decisive action. We also experience healthy Liver/Gallbladder Qi when we have patience and are unattached to where the Wind my take us on our journey. We donāt feel angry very long when things donāt go our way. This takes trust and faith in the innate intelligence of nature and our body. What is your body telling you? What is the new season unearthing deep from within thatās begging to see the sun? If there is one thing Iāve learned over the years itās that nature knows best. Itās up to us to stay right with the season, stay right with time, allow things to unfold naturally, and to trust when we feel the urge to step up and make changes that feel more in alignment with who we truly are and the person we want to be.
So go with the flow this season. Express yourself from your heart. Do those creative projects youāve always wanted to do. Donāt wait. Do it now! There just might be fruit from your labor later down the road.
Health and Well-being to All,
