This week I had the joy of attending the Association of Children's Museums annual InterActivity Conference in Madison, WI and was one of the selected presenters for my own session titled "Building Resilience: A Conversation on Executive Burnout".

This is such a great group of people making a huge impact in the world. I'm at times envious of the children's museum world - the level of camaraderie and fun is infectious, and I'm grateful to be able to engage in a small way and lend my professional talents when possible. Thank you for all that you do, and a big thank you to Great River Children's Museum for creating something special for our community. Onwards and upwards!

Have you experienced a life-changing disability? Are you living with a chronic illness or chronic pain? If so, you may benefit from a new 12-week group therapy, offered in-person and virtually, starting in January.

Individuals will come together under the guidance of Licensed Psychologist Dr. Karen Golombecki to share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and provide mutual support.

You may be eligible to participate if you have:
👤experienced a life-changing disability or impairment (such as Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Amputation)
👤a chronic illness such as (Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, or Parkinson's)
👤chronic pain
👤difficulty adjusting to the changes in your life, resulting in mental health difficulties (depression or anxiety)
