Regular physical activity is one of the best things you can do for your health. But colder temperatures, slippery conditions, and fewer daylight hours can make it challenging to stay active in the winter.

Here are some ideas:
- Exercise at home: on-demand videos, virtual classes, DVDs from your library
- Walk indoors: visit the mall, supermarket, or walk around your home
- Join a fitness gym or sign up for classes
- Embrace winter sports like skiing, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, snowboarding, ice skating
- Tackle winter yard work: shovel snow, help neighbors with their yard work
- Take the plunge at a local swimming pool

National Handwashing Awareness Week: December 7-13, 2025
Clean hands protect our health! Did you know washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds can greatly reduce your chances of getting sick and spreading germs? This week we’re encouraging everyone—in schools, homes, businesses, and public spaces—to make handwashing a habit!

When to wash: Before and after preparing or eating food, after using the bathroom, after coughing/sneezing, and after touching shared surfaces.
