This shelter is a great addition to help protect our therapeutic horses from the elements. We are honored to have amazing people like Ericka join our GaitWay family, and together we are changing lives one stride at a time.

SPECIAL ALERT from Abby Meldrum, GaitWay’s barn and horse health manager

Hey everyone! Just wanted to send out a quick message about the current EHV-1 outbreak in the region. Our horses are likely secluded enough to be safe, but if anyone visits other barns or comes into contact with other horses, I’ll just ask that you change clothes and shoes, and thoroughly wash hands before visiting GaitWay to make sure there’s a lower risk of horse-human-horse transmission. Thanks y’all!

This was a great day! We are thankful to Entergy Louisiana for enabling their safety team volunteers to assist Gaitway. 🐴 Together we tackled some safety concerns and then proceeded with the barn and field work. Then we had a Gaitway Rodeo 🤠 We recognize your commitment to our community through volunteer service. We look forward to having another volunteer team soon.
