Dear Breastfeeding Mama,
Happy Valentineās Day to youāthe one whose love doesnāt come wrapped in ribbons or sparkle in a jewelry box, but shows up in the quietest, most powerful ways.
Today is about love, and you, mama⦠you are full of it.
Not the easy kind of love.
Not the āflowers and dinnerā kind.
But the deep, exhausting, beautiful kind.
The kind that feeds a baby with your own body.
The kind that wakes up at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. and again at sunrise.
The kind that gives without counting.
Your love looks like tired eyes and messy hair.
It looks like sore shoulders and cold coffee.
It looks like patience when youāre running on empty.
And still⦠you show up.
You offer comfort with your arms.
Safety with your heartbeat.
And nourishment with something no one else can give.
Breastfeeding is not always peaceful and glowing the way people describe it. Sometimes itās painful. Sometimes itās frustrating. Sometimes it makes you feel touched-out, overwhelmed, and unseen.
But please know this:
You are doing something extraordinary.
Even when you doubt yourself.
Even when you cry.
Even when itās hard.
Even when no one claps for you.
Your baby doesnāt need perfection.
They just need you.
So today, I hope you take a moment to remember:
You are not ājust feeding a baby.ā
You are building trust.
You are creating comfort.
You are giving love in its purest form.
And whether you breastfeed exclusively, pump, supplement, comfort nurse, or are in the middle of weaningāyou are still a breastfeeding mom.
And you deserve to be celebrated.
This Valentineās Day, I hope you feel loved, appreciated, and honored for the incredible work you do every day.
Because your love is real.
Your love is fierce.
Your love is constant.
And mamaā¦
you are someoneās whole world.
With so much love,
Happy Valentineās Day š
